WOMEN IN FILM AND ENTERTAINMENT
Carla Buckingham and Cookie Greenwood founded the organisation WIF&E (Women in Film and Entertainment), to help promote, inspire, and connect women who are just starting out in the creative industry no matter what age.
What Is WIF&E and why is it different from other organisations?
This organisation is for beginners who are just starting out in the world of TV, film, entertainment, or music and for intermediates who have hit a brick wall with no where to turn.
This is an opportunity for women to come together and to change the future of the creative world by connecting professional women who actively work in the creative industry with those who need guidance, mentorships, and help you towards a goal.
Why is WIF&E non-profitable?
Starting out can be challenging in any job, not knowing who to talk to or how to perfect your craft and getting the right guidance can sometimes be costly. Networking opportunity’s may also be missed if funds are not available.
There are many organisations out there and although they are all amazing, most of them run by charities which means overheads.
WIF&E is not a charity it is an ‘unincorporated association’ which means it was set up to create a free networking community.
This means you don’t have pay to be a member or to be part of our community.
